Broderick School “a school for young gentlemen” late 1800s Stranraer School 1901 Census: listed the head Walter Bezant-Lowe, wife Florence, daughter Hilda, 2 assistant teachers, 11 pupils age 8 to 17, 4 servants

c. 1960. There was a Broderick School, and then a Stranraer School. It looks likely that they were in the same building. When the building was made into two dwellings they took these names?. |

Hillview Nurseries Dickie Downes bought The Limes sight unseen for land for 60,000 sq ft of greenhouses for tomatoes. When he saw how big the house was he turned it into Catisfield Country Club
